How the Neocons Gave Obama the Worldnew
Republican talk radio says Obama's popularity overseas is simply a reflection of the big government socialism Europe has become accustomed to. Talk host Sean Hannity even said that Germans have long been attracted to charismatic personalities, implying that Obama's appeal was more fuhrer than philosophical. Nonsense.

Ralph Nader, the Conservativenew
In this presidential election year, talk radio has tried to fool listeners into believing Mitt Romney is a conservative, and John McCain now spends his time trying to fool the talk radio crowd into believing that he's at least as solid as Romney was. Irony upon irony, it's worth pointing out that when it comes to having actual conservative positions, Ralph Nader shames the whole lot.

Why Sean Hannity is Unpatrioticnew
It might be easy to dismiss Hannity as a mere hypocrite, but he's actually something much worse. He puts the Republican Party first and has no qualms about putting our troops in harm's way and policing the world so long as the sheriff's badge reads "GOP."

National Democrats Abandon South Carolinanew
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has announced that not a single South Carolinian candidate will receive "financial, communications, and strategic support" from the DCCC as part of the group's Red to Blue campaign. Not one.

When it Comes to Islam, Good Fences Make Good Neighborsnew
On the Right, terrorism is considered a mass insurgency, unique to Islam, and the ultimate goal is to destroy democracy. On the Left, terrorism is seen as a reaction to American imperialism; they believe Islam is no different from any other religion. Both are right and wrong.

Those Who Promise to be 'Tough on Terror' Ignore Its Root Causesnew
American intervention overseas, from never-ending sanctions on Iraq to permanent military bases on the Arabian Peninsula, is without question the primary cause for 9/11 and the current terrorist threat, a point the 9/11 Commission Report also made perfectly clear. But this is not the answer America is used to hearing from its politicians.

Perennial Congressional Candidate in South Carolina Games the Systemnew
Nine-time candidate Ben Frasier now has filed to run against Linda Ketner in the Democratic congressional primary. On the surface, Frasier's hobby looks like democracy in action. But many in the Democratic Party say it looks like a sham. And they have reason to be suspicious.

Using Obama's Example to Destroy Political Correctnessnew
Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but the best chance to give voice to the most controversial of Southern perspectives (and indeed all American perspectives) might be by accepting Obama's invitation to join in on the America that belongs to them -- too.

The True Legacy of William F. Buckleynew
By moving the conservative movement to the left, Buckley moved the whole of American politics to the left. He did not elevate conservatism. He repackaged liberalism and sold it as conservatism. And far from making conservatism respectable, Buckley did his best to make it invisible.
