'Life on Mars' Cops an Attitudenew
There are probably a few out there who recognize ABC's Americanized cop series Life on Mars thanks to good old BBC America. If the American writers can stay on target and keep scripts half as smart as the British ones, the show has a decent shot at success.

'Chocolate News' Gives Too Much of the African-American Funny Farm Awaynew

Chocolate News lacks the style, wit or subtlety of David Alan Grier's training ground, In Living Color. His transformations are amazing, but when he goes over the top, there's nothing to catch his fall.

'90210' and 'Gossip Girl': A High-School Rivalrynew
The similarities between the two shows end with the setup, though, and the differences are illustrative of how subtle variations in tone can mean the difference between a melodramatic primetime mess and light (really light) cultural critique

Why I Can't Stand Judge Judynew
Mostly, I dislike the show's red-state fantasy of a judiciary seized back from relativist, waffling judges who are more concerned about the niceties of "due process" than standing up for what's right
