Gossip Aims for a Big Crowdnew
In principle, I'm no great fan of the live album, but the Arkansas-born/Olympia-based Gossip is one band where a live album not only makes sense, it even makes sense as a major-label debut presumably meant to introduce the band to a larger audience.

Hillary is Looking Like a Sore Loser, Not a Leadernew
What I find most troubling is Clinton's hypocrisy and disengenuousness. Now she's insisting on "counting all the votes," which is code for counting all the votes in Michigan and Florida. Clinton and her campaign advisers were all for shutting out those two states when it appeared she wouldn't need their votes.

Teeing Off on President Bush, the 'Ex-Golfer'new
The fact that giving up a game is the way he decided to show "solidarity" with the families of fallen soldiers shows (as if we needed additional evidence) his utter disconnection from reality.

Since its humble start in 1978, the contest has evolved into three days of pork-scented smoke, plastic pig noses, elaborate team structures, 500 trained judges, concerts, and, of course, some seriously competitive teams that have spent years, not to mention thousands of dollars, refining their recipes and methods.
