Chicago Reader, Dallas Observer, Village Voice Receive James Beard Nominations
Three alt-weekly scribes are finalists for the 2013 James Beard Foundation Journalism Awards.

Alice Laussade of the Dallas Observer is nominated in the Humor category, Tejal Rao of the Village Voice is contending for the Craig Claiborne Distinguished Restaurant Review Award, and the Chicago Reader's Mike Sula is nominated for the MFK Fisher Distinguished Writing Award. Winners will be announced May 3 in New York.
