The Livingston nod came on the heels of Garcia-Roberts being named a finalist in the IRE Awards and a winner in the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi Awards. Each contest recognized Garcia-Roberts for "Rotten to the Core," his investigative report on corruption within the State of Florida's McKay scholarship program.
The Livingston Award winners will be announced on June 6.
