Sands Point's Guggenheim Estate-the muse for F. Scott Fitzgerald's "East Egg" in The Great Gatsby-is being destroyed by the nonprofit entrusted to protect it. The very intention of the 216-acre property's designation as a perpetual nature preserve is being sidestepped, ignored and/or willfully disregarded.
