Northwest Alt-Weeklies Pick Up SPJ Awards

Four AAN members were recognized in the 2012 Society of Professional Journalists Northwest Excellence in Journalism awards.

Portland's Willamette Week picked up 10 first-place awards out of 11 overall categories. Missoula Independent picked up four awards overall, including first-place in the Social Issues Reporting category. Pacific Northwest Inlander won seven awards on the night. And Seattle Weekly received two awards.
