Atlanta, Ga. -- May 6, 2004
Mike Bell, co-host of 790 the Zone's "Mayhem in the A.M., economist
Roger Tutterow, soul singer
Julie Dexter and U.S. Senate candidate Cliff Oxford make up the eclectic cast of guests set to headline the May 12 edition of
Creative Loafing's Political Party at Dad's Garage Theatre. The Wednesday night panel will gear up to discuss the sad state of the economy, the Senate race and a variety of other hot-button issues.
Co-produced by Creative Loafing, Dad's Garage and Hands On Atlanta, The Political Party gives Atlantans a chance to hear and meet the region's leading politicians, media personalities and artists on the hot topics of the day. We gather on the second Wednesday of every month for a candid session that is informative, impassioned, funny and sometimes a bit fierce.
Creative Loafing editor
Ken Edelstein moderates (and occasionally restores the order), while
Sean Daniels, the artistic director of Dad's Garage, probes the audience for questions and comments.
Dad's Garage is located at 280 Elizabeth St. in Inman Park. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., the show starts at 8:00 p.m. and admission is free. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available at a cash bar. For more information, check out the official Web site at
