As the Bush administration calls for billions more
in funding to resocialize war-battered Afghanistan
and Iraq, Pasadena Weekly asked
politicians, pundits, writers, artists, actors and
other well-known figures where they think
America stands at the two-year mark of the war on
terrorism. Most deplored the war on terror's
biggest casualty -- Americans' own freedoms. But
leftie icon Christopher Hitchens says we should
all get used to living under the cloud of war
and stiffen our resolve to destroy the enemy
that wants to kill us.
