Jake Tapper To Keynote Annual Convention in New Orleans
As the early registration deadline for AAN's Annual Convention approaches, the roster of speakers continues to grow and several exciting sessions are being added to an already jam-packed schedule.
Here are some of the sessions we have in store:
- Coupon Deal Trends: Friend or Foe? Has this trend already been played in your market? Should you try to make a deal with one of the big providers like Groupon, a smaller company or develop a coupon program in-house?
- Long Form Journalism is Back…and you'll never guess who's reading it. And, there are new platforms for reading and showcasing it like Atavist, Kickstarter and Instapaper.
- Web Design on a Hobo’s Budget: The Web fuses together the creative and technical processes. Learn strategies to inspire your right brain while exercising your left brain and how to manage staff that are on both sides.
- Selling for a Multi-Faceted Media Company and Monetization Strategies for Social Media: Enough with giving it away for free. What are the best strategies for selling social media, bundling and other assets like slideshows, video and audio.
In addition to keynote speaker Jake Tapper, AAN will be joined by
Aaron Lammer of
Longform.org, ESPN.com editor-in-chief
Rob King, Rob Flora of the online display ad startup
NowSpots, recent Reynolds Journalism Institute fellow
Joy Meyer, and monetization expert
Chris Rohland of Boston.com.
Also added to the schedule is a pre-dinner cocktail event on Saturday, July 23 sponsored by the
Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS). DISCUS is the national trade association representing the makers of distilled spirits products sold in America.
AAN members that register by May 27 can bring their entire staff to the convention for just $499 and stay at the beautiful Ritz Carlton New Orleans for only $139 per night.
