Police Arrest Occupy Charleston Protestersnew
Jessica Dugan says she lost her voice chanting last night as police arrested at least eight fellow members of the Occupy Charleston protest group in Marion Square. Others have reported as many as 10 arrests overnight. Police have not released an official statement or incident report about the arrests.

Police Intervene at Occupy Charlestonnew
About 30 Occupy Charleston protesters hunkered down in Marion Square Monday night, bracing themselves for the fallout of an unsuccessful meeting with Mayor Joseph P. Riley Jr. earlier in the day. Organizers say Riley had warned them not to be in the park after 11 p.m., when the park supposedly closed.
