Cynthia Cotts: “I've been given a tremendous amount of editorial freedom”new

In an interview with mediabistro.com, the Village
Voice media reporter talks about her approach
to the job and how she handles the legacy left by
former “Press Clips” columnists Alex
Cockburn and Jim Ledbetter. She also
says her "mandate is to compete in the world of
media reporters," not "to have a sort of predictable
Village Voice ideology." Her biggest regret:
“I will probably never be allowed to write for the
(New York) Times.”
