may 12, 2015  11:00 am
Registration is now open for the 2015 AAN Convention in Salt Lake City, where alt news professionals from across the U.S. and Canada will come together to share success stories, swap information on the latest trends, and chart the future of the independent media industry.

The member early rate * is $350 per person or $1,000 per publication to bring its entire staff. Early registration ends June 12. The non-member rate is $425 per person.

The festivities will take place at the Little America Hotel in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City and walking distance from restaurants, most major attractions, and yes, plenty of places to drink. The AAN group rate is $145/night. Use this link to book at the AAN group rate.

The conference schedule features three full days of programming, beginning with workshops on Thursday morning for managerial, editorial, sales, and design staff. Friday and Saturday sessions will explore new ideas for generating revenue, potential topics for alts to expand coverage, tips and tricks for design and production staff, and practical solutions that attendees can implement right away. In the evenings, conference hosts Salt Lake City Weekly will show everyone that there's more to Utah than just mountains and Mormons.

The program is based on feedback from AAN's committees as well as suggestions from a recent member survey.

There are several options for sponsors and exhibitors to get involved. The AAN Convention's highly interactive environment allows sponsors to be front and center, with personal access to key decision makers. (Download the exhibitor registration form)

So come join us, and don't miss your chance to rub elbows —and have a drink — with your peers while taking in the breathtaking beauty of the Mountain West.

* Member dues must be paid in full in order to be eligible for the member rate.
