Philadelphia City Paper Named Non-Daily Newspaper of the Year

Philadelphia City Paper was named Non-Daily Newspaper of the Year by the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association last week.

City Paper news editor and profanity user Jeffery C. Billman writes that entrants, "were assessed on a host of criteria, including news coverage, opinion pages, layout and design and advertising, among others."

In addition to the Newspaper of the Year award, the paper also took first place in the Newswriting Excellence, Layout & Design, and Editorial/Opinion Page Excellence categories.
