FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BOSTON, MA (September 26, 2007) --
Boston's Weekly Dig announced today that the editor, Michael Brodeur, is no longer with the company as part of an editorial restructuring.
"Michael has been a huge part of the
Dig for over four years and we wish him all the best. This wasn't an easy decision," Jeff Lawrence, founder and president, said. "I wouldn't be surprised if his byline shows up in the
Dig in the future though. He's a great writer and it's already been discussed."
Brodeur will not be immediately replaced.

Alfred Wilson has joined the company as VP of Business and Marketing and will oversee all sales operations.
Wilson previously worked at the Phoenix Media Communications Group in Boston for five years before spending two years in management consulting.
"I'm extremely excited about joining the
Dig family, Wilson said. "I met Jeff through the publishing channels and admired what he was doing with the
Dig, and so I am very excited to be working with him and most enthusiastic to be helping
Dig properties prosper and grow."
Jeff Lawrence seemed to echo the excitement and sentiment.
"He's extremely well connected, has the entrepreneurial insight to manage the many moving parts of a fast-growing company, and understands our business through and through."
In addition to overseeing all sales operations at the
Weekly Dig, Wilson will also act as Group Publisher for Dig Publishing's expanding custom publishing initiative, which includes
Beer Advocate magazine (a nationally distributed glossy niche publication geared towards the better-beer consumer) as well as several new in-market publications to be launched in 2008.
Founded in 1999, and published every Wednesday and available free at over 1,100 locations, the
Weekly Dig is still Boston's only humor, news and nightlife publication.
So there.
