Anger tempered by tolerance

Across the country, alternative newsweeklies have poured out their feelings about the terrorist attacks on Washington and New York.

Unlike many daily newspapers that are pushing a massive military response, most AAN member papers temper their outrage and horror with a reminder of the injustices that hatred can breed.
