Graham graduated from the University of South Carolina
in 1996
with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications,
majoring
in Advertising. He held several ad/marketing jobs and
internships to include non-profit & agency work,
corporate
marketing for Einstein Bros. Bagels and radio in DC and
Charleston, SC. From a radio sales position in
Charleston, he
was recruited by a client to become marketing director
for
Manifest Discs & Tapes, a music retail chain in the
Carolinas.
While at Manifest, he gained much experience working
with alts,
including AAN members Creative Loafing, Charleston City
Paper,
Columbia Free Times & others. After nearly five years at
Manifest, Graham made the switch back to media sales
as Ad
Director at Columbia Free Times in 2003. Within a year,
he was
recruited by Times-Shamrock to lead the advertising
sales
efforts at Orlando Weekly as Ad Director. Graham was
promoted
to GM in 2012, and to publisher in 2013. Since then, he
has
made significant changes to the publication, including
redesign,
stitch and trim format, the creation of web editor and
marketing
manager positions, as well as several signature events.
