Wick Communications Buys Alt-Weekly in Alaska
Editor and Publisher reports that the parent company of Tucson Weekly and 31 other newspapers bought the assets of Anchorage Publishing, including the weekly Anchorage Press. Wick CEO John Mathew says the company doesn't anticipate making many changes because "the authority for decisions lies with the local publisher who has that responsibility." Anchorage Press Publisher Nick Coltman and Editor Robert Meyerowitz are expected to stay on at the alt-weekly.
