New Editor Starts At Monterey County Weekly

Monterey County Weekly has named Mary Duan as editor.

Duan, a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, arrives at the Weekly after working as the energy and green technology reporter at the San Jose Business Journal. Prior to that, she was managing editor of Coastal Grower, an agriculture industry trade publication based out of Salinas, Calif.

Publisher Erik Cushman calls Duan, "a veteran journalist with 20 years of experience."
