As Monterey County Weekly works to achieve LEED platinum certification for its building in Seaside, Calif., assistant editor Kera Abraham is chronicling their progress in a blog:
By decree of Weekly Chairman and CEO Bradley Zeve—who's prone to goofy eco-impulses, like outfitting the office roof with a 33-kilowatt photovoltaic system back in 2007—the building at 668 Williams Ave. is on track to become the first in the county to earn LEED-EB Platinum certification.

"We get a point for inter-office education, but only if you read the blog," explained Abraham in a staff email, revealing an ulterior motive for the blog. "The next blog post will star a new toilet called 'The Stealth,' so stay tuned."
