Mat Cooperstein Named Publisher of L.A. Weekly

Voice Media Group is pleased to announce that Mat Cooperstein has been named publisher of LA Weekly, effective immediately.
Cooperstein joined Voice Media Group in 2006 as the classified sales manager for both LA Weekly and OC Weekly. He has also held the positions of classified director, general sales director and advertising director for both publications.
"Mat brings great energy, a strong sales-grind mentality and strong sales acumen to the position," said VMG chief executive officer Scott Tobias. "Mat is a great sales leader and will continue to aggressively push our strong team in Los Angeles."
Tobias added that Cooperstein's local knowledge and key relationships in the market have been a critical asset to the Weekly and to Voice Media Group as a whole, in particular in the digital and events realm.
"LA Weekly is one of VMG's pillar properties, and we're confident in Mat’s ability to guide it to an even stronger future," noted Tobias.
