Then-CIA Director George H.W. Bush asked, "Anyone have anything they want me to talk to 'the Rock' about, since I'm headed to the White House?" "The Rock" was then-Vice President Nelson Rockefeller. I sat there stunned. The director of the CIA irreverently referred to the vice president of the United States as "The Rock." I decided then and there that I liked this man.
