East Bay Express to Conduct Same-Sex Weddings
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 19,2008

The East Bay Express proudly announces Wedding Wednesdays in celebration of the long overdue right for homosexual partners to legally marry in the state of California. The East Bay Express will conduct free group weddings for twelve happy same-sex couples, performing ceremonies on June 25 and July 2 at the newspaper's offices. East Bay Express marketing director Terry Furry will be conducting the ceremony, along with support from the wedding planning company Don Gibble & Associates.

Courtesy of the East Bay Express, the twelve couples selected will receive a wedding ceremony, catered reception, honeymoon prize packages, professional photos, a published wedding announcement, and local media publicity. This is a fun, unique marriage alternative to City Hall, and is our newspaper's way of sharing in this historic celebration.

The East Bay Express is also accepting discounted advertising for Wedding Announcements in its classified print and online section to anyone (gay or straight) wanting to publicize their marriage.
