The deadline to apply for this trip is Saturday, May 25.

Cuba Tours and Travel is offering a five-day professional research trip to Cuba (PDF brochure) which concludes in Miami in time for members to attend the AAN convention in July.

The trip will be led by Tom Miller, a veteran of the underground press in the late 1960's and early '70s and the author of Trading with the Enemy: A Yankee Travels through Castro's Cuba. The itinerary includes exposure to the country’s Afro-Cuban spirituality and culture, venues such as the Fine Arts Museum, the Spy Museum, the Museum of the Revolution, and Ernest Hemingway’s estate.

The trip will take place July 5 through July 10 and costs $2,835 per person ($400 single supplement), a price that includes round-trip airfare from Miami to Havana, lodging, most meals, and a full-time program. Cuba Tours and Travel will work with those taking the tour to obtain proper general licenses, visas, permits and other permissions as needed to ensure that AAN members conform to Cuba travel regulations.

The annual AAN convention begins in Miami on July 11.

Please note that AAN is not an organizer of this trip and cannot assist you in making reservations or other arrangements. The trip is entirely arranged by Cuba Tours and Travel. We are simply allowing Cuba Tours and Travel to make this opportunity available to AAN members.
